Townsville

We came to Townsville with the plan of catching a ferry over to Magnetic Island which we had been told was very beautiful, however, we slept in and missed the early ferries so instead decided to have a stroll around town. The town despite being hot and warm was very bleak in design, the beach was just mud plains and the town centre very very quiet. So in the end we went up the local mountain for some nice-ish views over the town, we did however get some great views of magnetic island and what could have been. Never mind it was a welcome break from the constant drinking of both Fraser Island and the Whitsundays.
